The work draws inspiration from Honoré de Balzac’s novella The Unknown Masterpiece, focusing on the idea of unattainable perfection and the tension between individual experience and collective desire. Sculptures of feet clad in white athletic socks highlight the fetishistic potential of everyday objects—blending simplicity with the hidden intensity of longing.

The white socks, a significant motif in the aesthetics of homosexual fetish culture, point to clandestine codes of communication and desire operating outside mainstream culture. Detached from the body, the feet become autonomous carriers of emotions, tensions, and relationships, embedding individual gestures within a broader queer imaginary.

Each arrangement of the feet forms a distinct scene—short, suggestive situations where intimacy, desire, and distance constantly intertwine. The work opens a space for shared feeling, where an utopian sense of community emerges through fragmentation, suggestion, and mutual tension.
